I went to the mall for the first time since be laid off. Now I know why I haven’t been there! EEK! I didn’t NEED anything I bought either…oh well. Mall walking is a workout
This has been a GREAT weekend. I think it’s because the heat wave has died down and I can now venture out of my hole house. Boomer and I went on a nice 3 mile walk yesterday morning and then some time during the day I did 45 mins of step aerobics I can’t help it…i’m an addict.
Then I went to my mom’s and we picked green onions and cucumbers from her garden. Man my salads have been so good this weekend! Especially the one I had at Oaken Barrel last night YUM! It’s my favorite salad ever! Greek salad with chicken. I didn’t get the olives this time because I never eat them. I asked for the feta cheese on the side again

After our date Mike road his Harley up to a friends to hang out. So I sat at home and ate blueberries like popcorn. Today at Kroger they had blueberries 4 for $5! I didn’t buy any though since I just can’t control myself LOL! I did find some Body Fortress protein powder for $12.99 WOOT!
We went and saw Up this afternoon. My goal is to ALWAYS go before noon so it’s only $5. It was a really cute movie. The little people in the beginning remind me of Mike and myself. Her with red hair and him with silly glasses. Thank goodness for laser eye surgery I didn’t cry though…am I insensitive? If it’s not about animals it usually doens’t effect me. There is one exception. Return To Me…OMG! Mike and I both bawled our eyes out! I know this is mean but they were having a special, pay $8 and you get $10 worth of consessions. I’m not joking when I say that there was not 1 person in line under 200 lbs except for Mike and I. When the lady asked us if we would be interested Mike said “Do we look like we eat that crap” LMAO! I about died! I’m always thinking that but never say it…I love him

I really tried not to do any cardio today. I was trying to take a REAL rest day but that didn’t happen. I did some step aerobics! I don’t find working out as a chore and I really enjoy it.
Now to end this great weekend they’re having a fireworks show and we can see it across the field! Looks like i’ll be going to bed late tonight. Poor Boomer doesn’t even know what’s getting ready to happen. She is TERRIFIED of the 4th of July!!!!!!

I had a GREAT ab workout today! I’ve gotten in 65 mins of cardio but I may do more later tonight because I need to run off my energy! I also need to run off my late night snack of cottage cheese and blueberries I had . I eat blueberries like they were popcorn. No more coffee beans in my Metrx for awhile. I think it’s waking me up??
So far i’m doing okay with the PB. I think I have a solution. I use my Pampered Chef strawberry corer to scoop it out. This way instead of scooping a whole tbsp and then eating some and then thinking I don’t have a whole tbsp so I scoop out another bit and even eat that…you get the point. So this method is working
I’m sitting here with a big bowl of rice sans Country Bob’s Sauce hehehe…I can’t get enough of it! I will say that I only use a teensy bit but the flavor is the bomb! Especially considering i’ve been flavor free eating for the past 2 years. I must say that’s by choice. Now though i’m enjoying all sorts of little things. Like the flavored smoke, green onions, and even salad dressing!
I am watching $100,000 Pyramid. I LOVE that game show and it brings back so many good memories! Gosh dang i’m getting old.
I went to the Dr. today and then had some blood taken. I’ll find out results next week. They are checking my T3, T4, TSG, Proactin and to see if i’m pregnant I know the results of the last one. He told me i’m to young to not be having a period…YOU THINK! I told him the first 6 months I thought it was pretty cool but now i’m getting worried. He also gave me a prescription for a drug that will START my period. He told me not to take it until he tells me too. I am NOT taking it until after the 4th though. Doesn’t he know I need to look good in my bikini at the lake??
I think the way i’m eating now and the variety, calories, and the energy I have that maybe things will change. It doesn’t hurt to get things double checked though. I haven’t been to the dr for awhile so it’s good I went. Do you ever catch a glimpse of yourself and think…dang I am thin? That doesn’t happen that often but it did today in the bathroom there. My arms looked like spaghetti noodles! I usually carry lots of fat on my triceps so hopefully some muscle will start to show? Don’t worry about me though because there is plenty of fat on the hips and bootay!

I had a great 35 mins cardio before breakfast this morning. It’s too hot so Boomer didn’t want to walk. Then before lunch I did a 45 mins step workout via Cathe’s Cardio Fusion. I LOVE the drills! I don’t do plyos that often so when I do it’s the shiz! I am gonna work chest tonight…it’s my favorite! Grow chesticles grow!
You think I would learn my lesson and use the guard that comes with my Pampered Chef mandolin. No, not me, miss stubborn i’ll show you who’s boss. This is seriously like the 10th time i’ve sliced a part of my body off with this thing. If you have one, you know what i’m talking about Mike always leaves the kitchen when I bust this bad boy out.

It’s SO hot here today. Boomer has been running outside, eating grass, then throwing up. She did this yesterday too. I know that dogs sometimes do this when they’re stomach are hurting but if she’s not better soon i’ll take her to the vet. She’s been playing toy though and she’ll eat so i’m not sure
I can’t wait for 4th of July weekend! We’re going to Lake James where we always go. It’s so much fun. Problem is i’m see through right now and how NO tan at all. I guess i’ll try and find some 80 SPF HA!

I’m once again trying NOT to do cardio. I’ve got TONS of energy again today! I’m really trying to lose in a healthy way over the summer and trying to avoid LOTS of cardio. I still get in over an hour but that’s doable for me.

Last night I had the greek salad with chicken and had them put the dressing and feta cheese on the side I LOVE that salad…oh man, I could eat it every night! I didn’t eat much of the cheese either like a good girl. I weighed in this morning *drumroll* 118.2, then I peed, 117.8 HA! I was dreading the scale because lately I don’t know what is wrong with me. My willpower just isn’t there. For me that means extra fruit, blue chip crumbs, and a few tsbp extra of ANPB. I think i’ve got it back though. I was keeping up to date on the Junior Nationals and see those girls physique’s was like a slap in the face! That is why I don’t eat tortilla chips and all sorts of yummy looking carbs. However, my diet now ROCKS!!! I need to go to the grocery store and get some strawberries…it’s always something but I am not complaining!
I visited with my dad today I took him a vanilla latte from SB. He’s a manly man so he won’t ever go to SB.
Then I visited with my mom after that. I was showing her pictures of one of my friends who competed last night. She didn’t like the look HA! Then I showed her the bikini girls…she said they look fat LOL! Wonder why I have problems??
So today I rested…only did a bi/tri/ab workout with 30 mins of cardio I knew that afterwards this would be waiting for me!

Thanks for the comments! I was just in a funk yesterday. Luckily it’s over and i’m feeling better today. I’ve been doing LOTS of cardio today because I have energy! Yesterday I felt like a wuss. I had a back workout and it was pathetic and then I did my ending cardio and couldn’t hardly get over 6.0. Today was a different story. I walked Boomer for a total of 3 miles and then did a 45 min Cathe tape. Later on Tony called and that always puts a fire under my arse. We went over a new cardio protocol so I decided to go ahead and do it. I was sprinting at 9.5! That’s good for me. Like I said TOTALLY different than yesterday.
This is a HIGH carb day for me so Mike, mom and I are going out for dinner at the Oaken Barrel! I will be getting a salad but can’t decide on the greek salad, or the regular salad minus the bacon and cheese LOL! The greek salad comes with warm pitas but it also has TONS of feta cheese on it. I guess I could ask them to put it on the side. I would still eat all of it though. I think i’ll get the regular salad and tell them to some pitas on it….see why I don’t ever eat out?
Oh, Mike came home with a truck today. Traded in his Bimmer. He needed a place to put his cornhole boards…men, I tell ya.
I did take pics today but gosh they are awful! I would blame it on my camera but….my butt is just big Maybe in a few weeks i’ll share. I bought some more PB because it’s on my plan for today. If this jar doesn’t last long that’s it, no more! I’m not one of those girls that can eat it everyday and stay thin. Maybe I can stay thin but not in the body i’m working for. There are many different healthy body types and I don’t want to look like the ones that eat whatever they want but run themselves silly. Instead i’ll eat what’s on my meal plan and run myself silly HA! After all i’m not almost 25 i’m almost 35.
Volunteered at the Easter Seals this morning I arranged a closet full of clothes and cleaned the popcorn machine. They popped some last Thursday when I was there and I took the bag to Mike.
I came home and wasn’t hungry yet so I did a Cathe workout! I was sweaty!

I was reading a blog yesterday. I think it was The Healthy Tipping Point. She puts post it’s on bathroom mirrors to remind women that they are beautiful no matter what! How awesome is that! I knew today I would be in a public bathroom and the “old ladies” were gonna be there crafting there fundraiser stuff so I wrote one I put Age Is Only A Number. I wish I would have brought my phone in the building with me. It did make me feel good! I got home and made some tea and here are some more messages i’ll be using!

This morning I woke up and did my usual 1/2 hour of cardio. These early sessions are getting better and better! I’m getting faster and i’m not having to walk Then it’s leg day. I do my squats etc…and a bit more cardio just to make them extra sore. Mike had decided to go on a run after work and I was bored so I dusted off one of my favorite Cathe workouts. The CTX Xpress Step and Intervals. I swear when I pull out an old step video it’s like a new one all over again. I don’t remember any of those routines LOL! I am an expert at step I must say though OMG! When I got done my legs were quivering. I hopped in the shower and when I came downstairs I noticed it was downpouring. I hopped in the Matrix with Boomer(I was driving) and we went to find daddy! I found him and he was glad. He was about 4 miles from home.
Now i’m making our dinner. I am obsessed with ! I don’t know what’s in it or what it’s made of but for the moment i’m LOVING it!
We’re getting ready to watch BTK! Boomer and I walked to McD’s redbox because I had a promo code so it was free I love walking there and looking at all the fatties eating food that’s clogging their arteries…I never said I was a nice person!!

Here’s where the mind plays games. Why can’t I look at this picture and be 100% happy. All I see is the fat on my freaking hips! My legs are starting to get leaner though and I think it’s because i’m eating more carbs and I get better cardio sessions. Don’t get me wrong because i’m not UNHAPPY with the way I look right now. It’s just that for those that have competed we get a warped mind sometimes.

My mom and her cousin were talking about their flat butt syndrome last weekend. They made me stand up to see if I had it. My little sister does. I told them nope I have a butt but they have boobs too and I don’t. Now that I think about it I am the only one with a round butt. I accredit that to Gilad’s workout that I started when I was 12
Okay, i’m not even gonna say anything about that title. I LOVE this thing at McD’s!!! BFF! It’s an unemployed persons dream! Movies for $1! Plus you can sign up online and get a code text to you and you get a free movie on the first of every new month! I must add that I always walk to get the movies It’s cute because Boomer who always has to walk a little ahead stops when she gets to the redbox because she knows. Other than that we have no use for McD’s. I use to see people using this thing and thought it just had cartoons etc in it. If you haven’t used it quit wasting your money at Blockbusters!!
I’ve had a boring weekend. I like that though. Mike and I went for an hour bike ride yesterday. I should say a motorcycle ride because it had nothing to do with cardio I did get LOTS of cardio in yesterday. I had some PB filled pretzels nuggets Friday night…shhhh…They were “all natural” and on sale at Kroger so I couldn’t pass them up. They were for Mike but I snagged a few. Now I feel like a puffaump. Do you remember those?

I went and saw my grandma today. Things just aren’t the same without grandpa there. She is VERY lonely as you can imagine. I also got my hair trimmed. My workout this morning was so good. I took a shower and was still sweating!
I’m feeling fat today LOL! I guess feeling lean doesn’t last forever if you put something in your mouth that’s not suppose to be there. I made this for my hubs last night. It was VERY good…not that I tried any *ahem*. I have never toasted almonds before but DANG they are good that way! I seriously just tried a bite or 2 or 3 and now i’m like a whale. My waist meausred 24.5 this morning though so it must be in my head.
We watched a movie last night called 11:14. Have you seen it? It was a great movie!
We had storms last night and I couldn’t sleep worth a crap. Actually I blame it on Mike for waking me up right as I had dozed off last night. He had forgotten to get the weekly lotto tickets so I heard him leave around 9:45p. Good thing he did because we got 4 out of 6 numbers! That’ll probably be a whopping $40 but we’ll take it
So i’m dragging butt today. I did manage some cardio this morning before I went to volunteer. Mike sent me a text asking me to meet him at work so we could go to the strawberry festival downtown. He said to meet him at 11a. I really didn’t want to go because I was so tired but I need to do more things with him…so I went. Man the strawberry shortcakes were HUGE! Strawberries are on my plan today so I took a bite of it LOL! Okay, ice and whip cream aren’t but man it was tasty! Then I spotted this:

So it turned out to be a really great day. I also got to see Mike’s new office. Actually at the end of August he’ll be moving offices again. He has 7 computers in his cubicle!! Here are 4 of them…looks important doesn’t he.
