Good Riddance 2009

31 Dec

This has been a sucky year for me:

Lost my job

Lost my Grandpa Bailey

Lost my Grandpa Hommel

Had surgery on my girl parts

I really hope 2010 gets better.

.

So far it is.  Angela and I are making plans to attend the Arnold again.  That’s always a good time.  Than there’s the cruise coming up in April.  So those will be good times but I dread finding a job.  To make matters worse Mike and I are putting our house up for sale AGAIN.  This puts a damper on where I look for a job.  There are so many more opportunities up north but i’m comfortable down here.  I know my surroundings.  Bonus…mom’s 2 miles down the road.  I’m anxious to see where i’ll be at this time in 2010.

.

Dreaded weigh in this morning….122:eek:   I’m glad I did it though.  Now I can focus.  Focus on what, i’m not sure but it sounded good.

.

Mom and I had a good time shopping.  As much fun as you can have with me anyway.  We ate at a place called Ted’s Montana Grill. It was a really nice place and the wait staff was excellent, food was great and the building was cool.  I had a grilled chicken salad with avocados, tomatoes, and cucumbers with oil and vinegar dressing.  They also had THE best coffee!  They used recycable straws, placemats, cups and napkins.  Oh and I went to Whole Foods for the first time ever!  I bought some of this and 2 boxes of Nature’s Path Gluten Free cereal…2 for $6!

.

I don’t really have any resolutions.  Last year I think I was going to try and not be as mean and that failed.  I do have some diet changes.  I’m going gluten and dairy free.  Not because all the cool kids are doing it but because I want to see if it helps my digestive issue.  Giving up egg whites has helped the smell but the problems are still there.

I really moved it this month and still ended up 5 lbs heavier.  I guess those 3 days of dessert eating stuck to me.

.

I rented 4 movies this afternoon for Mike and I to watch and hopefully i’ll stay up until midnight.

I forgot to mention Mike and I saw Avatar in 3D.  It was good but I didn’t really get to enjoy it because my stomach was KILLING me.

.

Cheers to a New Year!!

.

Do you make resolutions for the New Year?  I don’t really.  It’s just another year.  If i’m not already doing it a new year isn’t going to change that.

About April

You name it, i've tried it. I finally found what I needed though. www.dreambodies.net. I started losing weight and seeing things i've never seen. I then started competing and I really do love it! Now i'm searching for a balance. I don't want the 10-15 lb in a day weight gain. I'm trying to become a "healthy" eater and not refraining from enjoying myself.

First time visitor. My wife is interested in starting a food blog and I was visiting the links I find on comments from visitors to food blogs. Nice site. We don’t do resolutions. If we need to do something it usually shouldn’t depend on a calendar date.

Tell me please, how was Mirrors? It looked too scary for me!! Seriously, Happy New Year!

No resolutions here! I am always trying to improve and make little resolutions in my head, which often fail. LOL

Did you stay up till midnight? I barely could…but I was determined.

I REALLY want to go to the Arnold…I’ve never been!! Trying to talk Tim into it but $ is the factor here… ugh. What else is new?

PS. i really wish we had a whole foods!! We have something similar but much smaller.

I have TONS of Celestial seasonings tea. I am going to blog about them. I just took pictures of all of them last week but still haven’t gotten around to posting…
