Energy Roller Coaster

That is what I was on the last 2 days.   Last night’s cardio and weights was pretty pathetic.  I thought I was going to die.  I even walked for 9 mins.  This morning felt the same.  I couldn’t get over 6.5 and even that was a struggle.  I did bump the incline to 3% so I could get my HR up.  I foam rolled for a bit and took an aspirin.

.

Tonight’s weights and cardio ROCKED!  I don’t know what happened?  Maybe the aspirin but i’ll take it!

True Story:

I was making a shake with my real blender the other day.  I had it running while using one of my strawsome straws to push down the spinach.  I accidentally hit the blade with the straw.  The thing didn’t break!  It says lifetime guarantee and now I know why!!!

.

What the last thing you do before you go to bed?  The last thing I do is pray :)

I’m not a runner

I’ve always said i’m not a runner.  My husband is a runner.  Some of his runner friends were over for our football party(GO COLTS).  They were talking about how they are running 20 miles a week etc.  Well…Here’s my week so far:

Monday:

10.5 miles

Tuesday:

10.3 miles

Wednesday:

5.5 so far.  I’ll get another 4.5-5 after work.

I think it may be time for my monthly oil change.  After my run yesterday I told Mike you’d think I was eating McD’s with all the fat on my body.  I do so much yet see nothing.  He’s like…oh geez…here we go again :)   I hate this time of month LOL!

.

When I did Body For Life about 5 years ago one thing I hated was the HIIT.  I do not like running 6,7,8,9.  I love the Dreambodies style of cardio.  Walk/runs.  Years ago if you told me I would be running full minutes at 8.5 or having the treadmill at 10 mph I would have thought you were crazy.  I love the walks in between.  It prepares my legs for the torture to come.

.

Tonight for dinner i’m making Mike curly dogs.  I’ll take a picture of it.  I think it’s a Hoosier thing.  If not…let me know i’m wrong :)

  • hot dog
  • chili sauce
  • slice of cheese
  • slice of lettuce
  • onion
  • 1 hamburger bun

Slice dog in half(not like Boomer’s leg) and fry it.  This makes it curl up.  Place the dog on the hamburger bun, put chili sauce in the middle.  Top with cheese, lettuce, and onions.  I used to eat these when I was little.

.

What’s your heritage? I’m german/irish but 50% redneck.  I hate country music but both sides of my family are from Kentucky.  That’s why i’m allowed to make fun of people from Kentucky ;)

.

I’m spying on your blogs at work!  I can’t comment always but I love you all!  At night Mike and I are addicted to True Blood so it’s eating up our time :)

Hostess with the Mostess

It’s our weekly turn to host the Colts party.  I am thankful that Mike is up here with his friends again.  I’m also thankful that they all know i’m not Miss Betty Crocker.  I do like to bake etc…but they know i’m a strict eater.  On the agenda today:

  • Hamburgers
  • Hotdogs
  • Chili
  • Cheese and Rotel dip
  • Beer bread
  • Tostitos
  • Fritos
  • Lean azz hamburger patty(yep, that would be mine)

I’m not making dessert because I think Flo may be coming soon and I may lick a bowl.  I only do things like that when i’m 100% sure I won’t give in.

Go Colts!!

.

It’s good chili weather here today…70°.  I am indulging on a diet Rock Star while everyone else will be drinking beer :)

.

How’s the weather in your area today?

1 minute muffin it is!

Thanks to Lori for telling me about the 1 minute muffin.  I googled it and kind of fudged up this recipe:

Mix all ingredients together, microwave for 1 minute.  It had a texture like bread.  Oh, I may have a pumpkin muffin tonight ;)   I did forget my flax in my oats again this morning.  This isn’t on my meal plan.  The macros fit so i’m going with it.

It turned out lovely!

I’m just teasing you all with the granite pictures huh?  I’ll get some after pictures up soon.

.

A special shipment came in the mail today!  When I believe in something I buy in bulk.

I finally have my cure for keeping myself regular without using junk.  I NutraFiber Flakes®.

.

Are you good at making new friends?  I’ve always been a shy person and lacked confidence.  I must say that I do make friends easily.  Maybe that is stretching the truth.  I make acquaintances easy.  I am easy to get along with for the most part.  The new people I work with already like me :)

.

LAST CHANCE TO ENTER FOR THE HEALTHY FOOD SNACKER!  I’M PICKING THE WINNER TOMORROW NIGHT!!

Obsessions and R&R

It was a complete and total rest day for me.  I even went and got a massage ahhh….It was the first time I was massaged by a man.  I feel like I need a nap now.  Yesterday I ate raw veggies.  Now my stomach is bloated.  I’m a mess.

massage.jpg

Obsessions:

Mike and his new grill

He is so proud and he is a great griller!

Boomer and her rolling obsession.  No matter how much I yell at her she still does it.

I don’t know what you’re talking about mom?

Muscle Gauge Nutrition obession.  My favorite shake at the moment:

  • scoop of peanut butter protein
  • 1/4 tsp guar and xantham gums
  • 6-7 ice cubes
  • water
  • LOTS of cinnamon

Have you been massaged by a man other than your husband?  This was my first time and it was no big deal.  I’m comfortable more naked than I am clothed really.  Mike’s not the jealous type neither.

    Aprilized Turkey Meatloaf

    • 19.2 oz turkey
    • 1 cup of frozen celery, onions and red peppers
    • 1 whole egg
    • 1/4 cup of Nutrafiber flakes
    • chopped fresh spinach
    • smoked paprika

Mix first 5 ingredients together.  Put into loaf pan.  Sprinkle on paprika.  Cook at 325 for 1 hour.  This is adapted from an Oxygen recipe.  I used Nutrafiber instead of oats and I put on paprika.  That makes is MY recipe right?  Isn’t that how it’s done.

This was before I poured low carb ketchup on it.

    .

I didn’t know Mike would want any and I told him I don’t know if he would like it.  Surprisingly he did!  Today will be interesting seeing how HIS body reacts to the Nutrafiber flakes ;)

    .

Do you like meatloaf?  Meatloaf reminds me of my childhood.  Right now it’s one of the few things my gma remembers how to make.  She always gets the edges burnt just a bit so they are crunchy.  Man, I wish I could make it like her.  My other gma who’s passed used to make it like no other too.  I had some awesome meals when I was little.

    Weigh In

I first want to say I feel great!  My workouts and eating have been awesome and i’m happy with the way my clothes are fitting.  August was a tough month for me.  My body was going through some hormonal changes and I had my first period “on my own” in 2 years.

    .

My body is noticeable leaner but not in the spots I want.  My collar bone, ribs and hip bones are showing while my pooch, thighs and love handles are holding on strong.  This is typical.  Those are the last to go.

    .

I use to weigh every day and hadn’t since Feb this year until a few weeks ago.  I didn’t want to weigh this morning either but I had to for my trainer.  He needs an idea of where i’m at.  I have found something that help my mind.  I weighed in kilos.  I don’t know why but this didn’t cause me to freak as much as seeing the pounds.

    .

    .

    .

Using a body fat scale for better health

    .

    .

    .

    .

55.5 kilos!!!!!  Trainer said that’s great and he wants another .9 kilos off next weekend.

    .

    happydance

How often do you weigh yourself?  I NEED to at least start weighing once a week.  If not my pants get snug without me knowing why.  I’m not someone who just cuts out bread and loses 10 lbs.  I don’t eat bread.

    Boomer update and Opensky Deal**

Thank you all for Boomer’s well wishes.  We were both nervous parents last night.  She was so loopy from the medicine and just wasn’t herself.  She had to be knocked out which worried Mike like crazy.  She’s 11 years old and not a spring chicken.  I got home from work and could tell Mike had been bawling his eyes out.  That’s why I love him.  When he is weak, I am strong so we work great together.

    .

I was up at 4a to give her her pain medicine.  Then I got on the tready for 70 mins :)   She was all tail wags and happy jumps this morning.  I had to tell her to stop.  She needs to take it easy for the next 10 days.

    .

My workout tonight felt like this:

    52740_exhausted_blogshow

I pushed through it.  I think I felt like this because my body is getting ready to let go of some fat.  Hey, it’s my way of thinking ;)

    .

A few nights ago I made the rolo things for a pitch in at work.  They were inhaled.  I’m the only one that didn’t eat any junk.  Tonight i’m making beer bread.  Mike just asked me what that smell was.  I told him he could have a piece and now he’s excited.

    .

Time saving tip of the day:  stretch in the shower…at least i’m doing it now right?

    .

Here’s the deal!  The first 5 people to purchase something from my Opensky shop will recieve 30% off that item!  Hurry offer ends Sept 30th.  Use code THIRTYWEIGH and hopefully you’ll be in the top 5!

    .

Do you buy liquid egg whites or crack your own?  I used to buy the cartons but it’s so much cheaper to buy and crack.  That being said…is it just me or have the price of eggs gone up?

Trim Treads Review – Life of the Party

I received a pair of Trim Treads to test out.  I don’t believe all the tennis shoes hype that adding 3 inches, a rolling pattern and an extra $50 to a shoe will lift your butt and thighs.  All that aside…walking in the Trim Treads I can DEFINITELY feel my legs working.  You can also do calf raises and it’s almost like you’re on the squat rack when you feel the burn it gives you.

Mike says my posture is better while walking in them.  I wore them to Walmart and asked where the big and tall section was.  No really, I DID wear them to Walmart.  I also wore them to my gma’s 83rd birthday party yesterday.  I’m not one to showboat or one who seeks attention but these shoes sure are.  All my aunts and cousins had to try them on.  Sorry I stole your thunder grandma :)

    Black sandal

  • lifted buns
  • toned legs
  • a stronger core
  • better circulation
  • perfect posture
  • improved balance
  • burning calories
  • .

My grandma was so surprised by her birthday party.  I don’t know why…it’s sort of a given that we all have birthday parties.  She said she would always remember it.  I bet $100 she already forgot about it today.  Will someone find a cure for alzheimer’s already?

    83 cupcakes!

    .
Are you an attention seeker?  I typically am not.  I’m not loud and obnoxious.  My voice won’t allow me to be.  I love adding in the one liners though!
