Just A Thought

I have been working long hours and don’t have much time to post.  Then I thought on this day last year I was homeless and jobless :)   Now I shouldn’t complain about work because I have a job and I love my house!

Our Trip

As you know Mike and I headed to Boston on Sunday for this little marathon he was going to run in. Boston is amazing! I didn’t take many pictures because I suck like that. The town is so homey and old and there are tunnels you drive through. Okay, it doesn’t take much to excite me.

We stayed in a town called Milford about 40 mins from the big city. The reason for that was it cost ALOT less :) The houses there are so neat. Note: if you are used to drive a Toyota XRS and your rental car is a Hyundai make sure there are no cars coming when you pull out into traffic.

The Boston Marathon is the most exciting thing I think i’ve been too. The crowd is awesome and so proud of all the runners. Let me tell you there is a CROWD too…WOW! I saw Morgan aka Redhead Running but she was across the street and since the town is shut down and road blocked I couldn’t get over there :( I got cold so I found a mall and when I came back out the town was PACKED! I texted her and said so this is why you set up camp early.

I was so proud and happy when I saw Mike run by. Of course I cried. Then I ran to the J corrall to find him after wards. He looked great! He was limping that bad or like he was going to die. He finished in 3:11:00. He actually ran 26.45 miles and said he stopped to visit a tree once LOL!

After his stomach settled down from all the sugary shot bloks we headed out for pizza! I haven’t had pizza in 3 years! I’m not going to lie…I could go another 3 without it. I never though I would say that.

On the fitness front i’m not doing so hot. I’m going mental while gaining some weight. It’s all clean food so I know once my body gets used to it i’ll be better. I’m still keeping daily cardio at 45 mins 5 x’s a week. That’s NOT alot for me.

Have you been to Boston? The Marathon?

I think my favorite thing was riding on a trolley.

We won’t mention our flight home. Let’s just say we had to sit on the runway in the plane for 2 hours.

Well Hello There!

I’m sitting here with the windows open watching Housewives of NYC.  That’s my favorite one.  I’m loving the warm air, sunshine and birds.  I haven’t been to blog world in forever it seems.  After staring at a computer for 8-10 hours at work i’m just not in the mood.

April 6th is my “2nd birthday” and Mike got an Android Pro for me :)   So now i’m in the now so to speak.

Training is AWESOME!!  I’m BACK IN THE ZONE!   My training is intense again and eating is 100% clean.  By this I mean no more protein powder meals.  I’m eating real food.  The scale is up 2 lbs this week but i’m sure my metabolism will get use to the food and start to lose soon.  I feel so much better.  I feel alive!!!

One thing that has changed is i’ve gone from doing 7-8 hours of cardio a week to 2.5 hours.  Yes, BIG change.  I get antsy and want the cardio but i’m giving my body a break for a couple more weeks.  Then when I add more back in I should see some changes.  This is alot different for me.  Eat more, move less…SO not my motto but we shall see what the future brings.

I”m actually thinking of competing again.  The comps aren’t until late October and early November so we’ll see what happens then.

The truth hurts

So I weighed myself on Thursday.  I have to admit that last weekend I ate some “out of the ordinary” foods for me.  Low carb wraps with refried beans, bbq pulled chicken, and um…I really can’t remember now.  Just know it did NOT do my body good.  All that being said it made THE number seem better knowing it may be high because of the sodium and water bloat.  When i’m eating on plan and staying heavy it is always a mind F.  The number will only go down from here.

Remember this post?  Well i’m UP again.  It’s like I really like the befores and after or something.  I DON’T!  I want to GET and STAY lean and that WILL happen this time.  Have I said that before?  Well…i’m SERIOUS! 

.

So what was that number?  125.6  – I can’t wait to weigh in next Thursday and see where i’m at.  My eating has been perfect all week.  It’s funny when I eat good clean food i’m not hungry nor do I crave things.  When I started getting inventive with my protein powders I get a sweet tooth.  So i’m only doing powder PWO.

.

You can say scale doesn’t matter blah blah and if you believe that good for you.  For me it’s a MUST or the fluff gets packed on fast without me knowing it.  So to honor the name of my blog I am going to start weighing again :)   I’m not going to get sad at the number.  I’m a size 4 for Pete’s sake.
